At the last 2 home games vs man utd and southampton the away fans have sung for the whole 90 mins and been the loudest fans to come to selhurst during the season. I think that our reputation precedes us and now away fans are coming to Selhurst ready to sing. I'm sure with Chelsea's fans being loud generally, being top and having come off the end of a thrashing of arsenal they are gonna be singing from the off. The last couple of games, esp vs southampton our noise has tailed off a bit. Think we need something special against chelsea just to lift the players and ourselves as the team is in a rut. We really need to bring the noise back up to the levels we were at earlier in the season at selhurst and get the players believing again.

When do Chelsea sing then ? cause they didnt at Stamford Bridge and if I remember rightly the special one praised us. No team has come to selhurst this season and sung for 90 minutes !!

Chelsea fans being loud generally? I dunno. I've maybe not been to enough games involving Chelsea to judge. The two games against them I've been at, they were hopelessly quiet.

I like to think that enough Palace supporting south Londoners and Surrey residents will seize the chance to show the mainstream and, let's face it, thick majority of Chelsea fans who live in our part of the country what a home atmosphere is meant to sound like.

Away fans are generally the ones who sing... palaces away fans sing more than the home ones and so do most teams. Southampton and man u were loud throughout the game... might have been cos I was in block u of the arthur but I heard em singing... im sure chelsea will know about the palace rep and will come down knowing they need to sing to outdo us. The atmosphere against man u and esp southampton wasn't that good and if we are gonna have any chance against chelsea we need noise from our fans to get the players believing in themselves and to raise their game.

I think the football rather than the singing will decide the result - people are daft if they think singing 10 decibels louder will improve the team's performance. We're still hopeless on the pitch.

I meant their fans will come prepared to sing loud because of palace's reputation so if we're gonna maintain a decent atmosphere in our favour we're gonna have to raise our game too.

Maybe if we try attacking the fans will make more of a noise. We didnt looked like scoring v man utd or saints. Its up to the team to attack and create some excitement. Making a lot of noise wont intimidate top teams

I agree... the football against man u and southampton didn't give the fans much to shout about or sing about but hopefully we will play like we did vs newcastle and get behind the players and show some support.

So that's why we need to get behind them and not expect to be royally entertained before making some noise.

Chelsea fans will be loud before the game and will be loud if they score. They will not get behind their team if they go a goal down (ok, unlikely).

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
