We are currently on 26 points and if we want to guarantee survival I think we have to guarantee 40 points. Swansea Away 1 point (good feeling) That is 17 points and that would see us just make the 43 points. Edited by EastEndPalace (27 Feb 2014 7.58pm)

Although i think the away games against sunderland, cardiff, west ham and fulham are all winnable, i doubt we'll take 10 points from them. I reckon we can around 10/11 points from the remaining games Edited by millsy-125 (27 Feb 2014 8.25pm)

Steve Bruce thinks 38 will be enough for survival this season.

I did a (fairly) honest assessment of our run in and those around us, I think Cardiff, Fulham and West Brom for the drop with us not too far above them but safe. I also took one point off our final tally and added one to all those around us. Back on track I think 36 for survival and the bottom two on under 30.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

At the moment if you've got the same number of points as games played you will stay up. Whilst it isn't always the case that 38 points from the 38 games will keep you up its still a guide to go by. Don't forget there is still the Everton away match to play, although this will probably be 0 points.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |

i think we need 12 points, i'm not going to predict results but think we need to beat one of saints or villa, pick up 6 points away from home then beat either Man cIty Chelsea or Liverpool.Liverpool being the most likely as we always beat them. Its easy we're safe

Don't forget there is still the Everton away match to play, although this will probably be 0 points. With the way Everton are playing in relation to those fighting for 5th, they may have nothing to play for when the rearranged fixture comes round. That said, they'll probably have their strikers back.
