Hi all Holmesdale been a member for years but never posted because of some of the ridiculous posts I've read over the years, but understand I may get burned for the post I am about to wright, I don't want to sound negative because we have improved massively since pulis took over and our performance against Man U yesterday was solid and have they have not won the penalty I do think we would of at least gained a draw, but I think I must be the only palace fan that seems to think we will still get relegated, I just look at our last few games and the only ones I can see us getting anything from is Southampton and villa which are both at home, because our away record isn't great I just can't see us taking enough points away from home to keep us up, does anyone else feel the same way and worry or are the majority positive about the remaining fixtures, I just wanted to get an idea of what other palace fans think, only I can remember back in 2005 when I thought we would stay up and got relegated last game of the season, that day still haunts me to this day ! Just wanted to get a rough Idea what fellow palace fans think ? Cheers.

Fulham and Cardiff are goners imo. There is one relegation place left. Anyone of six teams can fill that place as they are all roughly of the same ability. That means we have a 6/1 chance of going down. The odds are in our favour. All the teams games are hard from now. Pressure.

We will not get relegated. But we must average around a point a game to do so. We will.

Ironically, after saying that our home form would dictate if we stay up or not it is now our away form that truly matters.

If we get six more points at home out of our remaining five games that will be more than expected. That said, we are due to beat one of the big boys. I have a feeling about Liverpool. No rational reason why mind.

That said our remaining away games are all "winnable". At the same time our opponents will be describing us as "beatable" too.

Swansea, Newcastle, Sunderland, Fulham, Cardiff and West Ham. These are all crucial. I just wish some of those were at home!

Any reason people can think of to be negative they post it. The OP states he does not ever post on here because of some of the ridiculous posts and then goes on to write a ridiculous post.

Our away form is not so good because we have played almost all of the top sides and few of the bottom sides. It will improve and Cardiff, Fulham and Sunderland are all games we can win, perhaps even WHU as well. Nine or ten points from our away games and six or seven from those at home puts us clear of forty points when likely 36 will see teams safe this season.

Win four of those and I think we'll be safe. I really fancy our chances against all of them. We can probably still get a few points at home. I wouldn't rule out a draw or win against Southampton.

Optimistic given our 6 points from 12 away games to date. We are going to have to start scoring some goals if we want to stay up, and also start getting the possession figures up. Let the opposition have roughly twice as much of the ball in every game and you're likely to struggle.

Nothing ridiculous about the post I'm simply asking what other peoples opinions are wether the majority think we will stay up or not, the ridiculous posts I talk about is the slagging off of players managers and the board, asking a question of people's opinion isn't ridiculous is it ? If you thought it was so ridiculous don't answer, and if you read it properly I stated I don't want to be negative as we have improved massively ! Just asking people's opinions if it offends don't answer SIMPLE.

Saints and Villa are winnable games at home, Villa especially so.

Cardiff, Fulham and West Ham has to be 5 points minimum. I don't think our run in is so bad, pretty average spread of positions in the table.

Simply, if we can't get the 9-12 points we need from the games we have left we don't deserve to be here.

But we do deserve to be here, we will get them and I think there's an excellent chance that the Fulham away day will just be a massive party.

And I plan to get very, very drunk.

I tend to agree with the original poster.

We need to start scoring goals to win games and keep us up.

I have said in the past that we could have the best striker in the world up front, but if you do not supply the crosses then he may as well not be there as he will not score.

Now Murray is back - Ince, Puncheon and Bolasie need to perform, and provide the supply that Glenn craves.

This is the key, as the defence is looking pretty solid now.

If we can create chances away at Swansea, Cardiff, Sunderland and Wet Spam we have a real chance.

Well not a stupid post just an honest one, nothing is sorted yet and Pulis is making that consistent message without being negative. I thought we played really well yesterday but it was a reminder of how difficult it is to get points against the big boys who have a disproportionate effect on the officials, thought Evra got away with murder yesterday...however back to the point, we have a good chance to stay up but it just isn't sorted yet and so the unthinkable could happen but it won't be without a fight.

The games we should be targeting for at least a point will be Swansea, Soton, Sunderland, Cardiff, Villa, West Ham and Fulham. Out of those seven games if we can get 14 points we'll have hit the 40 total.

My thoughts entirely. We have only scored 7 goals in our last 10 games and unless we improve we will not stay up.
I totally understand the rationale about being organised and hard to beat but goals win games and we do not score enough of them.
