Others: Speroni 7. Seemed a bit tentative and his clearances were unimaginative, but he made a couple of smart stops in the second half when poorly sighted. Just hope that restaurant venture in Purley isn't proving a distraction and it won't all end in tears. Isn't it better if players branch out into the business world at the end of their careers rather than when they are stil playing? Parr 7. A couple of errors, but he has great powers of recovery. Impressed with his attacking determination in the second half. Teamed up well with Yannick. Delaney 7 Ledney 7 Dann 7 Jedinak 8. Destroyed countless MU attacks with his tenacity, and made a real nuisance of himself at corners. Puncheon 8. Always a handful and showed some great skill. Murray 8. Great performance - looks as dangerous as last season. Hasn't lost any of his speed or skill. Bolasie 7. A real livewire. Kept wriggling into space and had one great shot that De Gea did well to block All others: 7

great assessment Mergs. I will be heading down to Jules restuarant in the close season to back him up. What ever league Palace are in, I'm sure he will stay in the prem. with Jedi and Ward. Tho' I thought Champers was the man of the match (after Evra in all truth). Who would have thought this man would turn out to be so hard working and honest. He went down after a tackle and it never occured Champers was feigning injury, like so many do in this sham league.

Difficult to choose a man of the match - perhaps Glenn murray but it wasn't a good team perfomance. We gave them too much respect and rarely threatened ourselves. Man Utd could and should have scored more.

Man Utd could and should have scored more. Agree with this, but its Jedi for me - the midfield marks an area and he seems to be marking everyone at that time, but he put in such a shift.

I'm sure Speroni's restaurant venture is just a case of putting money in at this stage. He's a good professional and will put training and match day prep before his restaurant business. Probably has managers hired to run the resteraunt

Jedi for me. He was back to his best today after a few games where his passing was awry. I think several United players felt the force today! Ward did well, Dann too, Chamakh covers so much ground and does all the hard work, great to see Murray back and it is as though the injury never happened. Even Bolasie made a nice little cameo appearance. Overall my scoring is: Speroni - 6

Man Utd could and should have scored more. We had almost as many shots on/off target as Man U, two of which needed very good work from De Gea (one of which was Jerome's!) Given that one of their strikers is worth (apparently) more than an entire squad probably earns in a year, and the others included Van Persie and Mata...I would say the difference is probably about £40million a year in wages alone.

Ward - Although he should have taken the shot in the first half, rather than try to go further. Still, he was excellent, as was everyone else on the pitch.

Jedi was a monster. I bet not many of them United players would fancy playing him again. Man of the match for me. Ward was solid as ever, Janujaz didn't get a sniff and was completely nullified. I actually thought Parr was a bit shaky in possession. Ledley was very impressive, such an improvement on KG. Ince and Puncheon showed glimpses of quality, but probably didn't see enough of the ball to be effective. Likewise Chamakh. All three put in a hell of a shift defensively though. Any reservations I had about Murray's ability to play in this league were quickly put to bed. Forgot just how good he is.
