How many of our new so called 'plastics' where at Sheffield Wednesday on that famous day in May 2010.
I do love being in the premier league but being in that near 5000 strong crowd going mental at the end is what being a palace fan is all about.

I agree with Bubble Wrap i won't be that gutted if we do go down as the Championship is exciting and we will get the hardcore fans only at away games.

I wasn't and I don't have a season ticket. Am I a plastic? It's not about being *hardcore it's about being able to afford going to games!

As for not being bothered about being back in the championship, I am, we're in the prem and that's where I wanna stay.
I would love us to build on the squad we have now and become even stronger by signing some exciting players.

Add the fact that with Premiership money the Stadium will get done up bit by bit why would anyone wanna go back.

Here we go again, another 'I'm a better fan than you' thread. I wasn't at that game (I watched it in a hotel manager's office in Tunisia) but was at the same fixture the year before when there was nothing on it. It snowed like hell about 20 minutes before the end, and the journey home was interesting.

I'm a fantastic fan me !

If our new "plastics" want to come and spend their money at our club then thats great i dont mind that and neither should you! We still have the best atmospehere and best fans and to say you prefer thr championship is quite frankly silly.we are competing against the elite of english football and tharts the way any palace fan should want it to tay. Sorry to bite your head off just get a bit fed up when people say they wouldnt mind getting relegated.

That isn't what i am saying, i was purely asking the question where were they that day??

I never said i want us to get relegated just wouldn't be distraught if we did as the Championship is a great league.

I was at that game! But if people weren't it doesn't reflect on the quality of their support! For a start we sold our allocation!

By far and away the best game I've ever been to. The atmosphere was as indescribable as the tension. Perhaps I'm just odd, but I'd rather go to these kind of games rather than play-off finals. Perhaps "glory-hunting" and Palace seem a bit at odds with one-another in my ideas as a palace supporter! At the other end of the scale, I've also been to Sunderland on a dreary mid-week, cold, wet 0-0 bore-fest where only the fans really turned up.

Do these make me a better / worse fan? No. I go to games when I can, and when I can afford. I still put money into the club, and if the "plastics" wish to do so as well, then even better for CPFC. If we can convert a few of them along the way into fans that will stick by through-and-through, then better still.

Oh dear. We've got this AND let's have an argument about Ron Noades appearing in the same afternoon. Original thinking is going to be in short supply for the next few hours.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

I wasn't there and this is my first season ticket since 08 does that make me a plastic. Surely a bigger fan base is a good thing. No problem with newcomers so long as they stick around.

I wasn't at the Sheffield Weds game but I supported Palace on a Tuesday night in 1977 against Northampton Town. It was a dreadful match and my nuts nearly froze off. I can cite many such examples. How do you quantify what is a plastic supporter?

Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial
