It's 10 days for the next scheduled match. I think that Palace should take a leaf out of what Man Utd plan to do and travel abroard to train and get the new signings to gel with the rest of the lads. A little bit of sun on their backs might just work wonders. (Even more than now).

Utd are heading to Dubai. Maybe travel to the same place and have an informal kick around on a sandy beach might be in order!!!

I was thinking about this yesterday. Whilst taking the team away to somewhere nice and warm would be a good fillip, the downside being they may not want to be away from their families. Only TP can make the call.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

In a highly original move, fat Sam is taking West Ham on a trip to ...er... Dubai!

Not a bad idea, IMO. A bit of downtime, team bonding, as well as training of course. Not too hot there in Feb. Low-mid 20s.

I have the impression that TP is more of a nose-to-the-grindstone, hard work, extra training type of bloke than he is a bonding and team building exercises sort of guy; just a feeling I get

Millwall recently went to Portugal for a team bonding exercise and training.
Came back and got smashed 3-0 twice then drew with bottom side Yeovil.
Lets hope that it has the same effect on West Ham players.
Coming back from a warm country to it pissing down here would put quite a few on a downer too, Would rather dangle the carrot of if you keep us up, the club will take you on an all expences weekend to Butlins in the Summer.(adult themed weekend of course).

I would think training in the conditions we play in is better why would you prepare for the wind and rain by training in the sun.

I thought it was just the millwall youth team that travelled, surprised they took the lot with them, costly for a club fighting to stay up and probably losing a lot of money per season?

I have a farmhouse to rent out that sleeps 11, TP if you are reading this. Need a few bookings, for some reason nobody seems to want to go to mid Wales right now.

Was the first team too, I did hear of a large fleet of caravans at Dover, Perhaps they took their house with them too. No doubt Holloway in his VW Campervan with his Missus and Farmer Fred reading the map.
