With Murray so near to a full match return, Being a 30 goal a season man, We are desperate for him to come back. Who do you think will make way for him, My opinion is I think he will play the jerome role in front of Chamakh, with Balasie losing his place. Views and opinions please

I'm not entirely sure. For the next few games I'd imagine he's going to be used from the bench. But the Ince behind Chamakh worked so well yesterday, he's not going to just walk into the team. He'll have to work hard. I think Jerome's place is gone. Ince has it and Murray would be next to slot in there(maybe Chamakh would go behind Murray playing uptop)

Or maybe we'll see Bolasie dropped with Ince on the wing, putting chamakh in the hole and Murray furthest forward.

I don't think anyone will make way for Murray. It's going to take him the rest of the season to get anywhere near full-pace given the severity of his injury and I suspect that his role yesterday is exactly what it'll be between now and May. The right approach will be using him off the bench in the hope he'll net a couple to turn games late on while priming him for a full return in August. With Ince and to a lesser extent Jerome, we have the luxury of not needing to rush him.

I don't think we'll see much of Jerome, but I'd imagine that most of Murray's time on the pitch will come from the bench, or if Chamakh gets injured - and mostly he'll replace Chamakh if we're winning.

If we're going to go two upfront, ie we're losing, then he'll likely be coming on for KG. But I don't expect him to be starting too many games.

It really annoy me how people think Murray is just going to bounce back from a 9 month injury and play like he was last season. You cant seriously believe he is going to be banging in goals for the next 13 games at the same rate as last season in the championship?!?

If Murray gets 3/4 they could make the difference. It will take him 4 or 5 games to get properly match fit so that only gives him 8 or 9 games and he has never played in this league before, several of those games are against the top clubs where chances will be very limited. 3/4 would be a one in two/three ratio which would be brilliant.

If out of our four defenders Ledley isn't one of them, you have six outfielders left to pick

Which for me these are from Dikgacoi, Jedinak, Ledley, Ince, Puncheon, Bolasie, Chamakh & Murray.

So is it two from Dikgacoi, Jedinak, or Ledley as defensive midfielders with Ledley playing more 'box to box'. For me Ledley plus other.

Then four from Ince, Puncheon, Bolasie, Chamakh & Murray. For me Ince, Chamakh & Murray then one from Puncheon & Bolasie. For me Bolasie, Ince, Chamakh & Murray.

So for me its GK + 4 defenders, Jedinak, Ledley, Ince, Bolasie, Chamakh & Murray.

As TP seems to have a good understanding with players that they may have to play out of position this will change with who we are playing. A lesser version (standard) of total football or am I going OTT?

he's also not that close to returning to full fitness! he's had 1 and a half games in 9 months. no pre season. he'll be lucky to start a game this season.

Couldn't we play Ince up front with bolasie, chamakh and punch behind him.
If he can score a s***load of goals from the wing in the championship surely he'd get a few (definitely more than Jerome) in the prem.

Then when bringing on Murray let Ince take bolasie or puncheon's place.
