I'm sure we all remember the game, completly played off the park and left in awe of the slick football Swansea played.

I found this while searching around the web at lunch, a very good write up and probably generous considering I found our atmosphere atrocious that day, it goes to show how bad prem supports are when the writer says we were decent for a prem ground.

Anyway if you've got a few minutes I found it enjoyable, bring on Saturday!

Not bad.

Couple of things that amused me:

"we decided to make the short ten minute walk to Selhurst Palace."

"so I decided to take a perch towards the back of the stand in the area of wooden seats; well, I say seats, there were just rows of wooden seat backs and nothing to actually to sit on. Nevermind – away days are not for sitting."

Have hinges not made it Wales yet?

What f***ed us that day was IH playing about 4 brand new players from the off and one or two more changes. Nobody knew what they were doing, OR if the others around them knew what they were supposed to be doing. I think it was obvious we were going to have no hope that day. Puncheon gave himself a free role. You can sort of understand why, it was because of the above, although if it did start to click in the game, his free role would've kept it short.

I agree with the seating bit but I do thing the referral to 'Selhurst Palace' being somewhat tongue in cheek especially after all the previous slating remarks about our place.

What i didn't understand was he accepted a lift back to the north with a colleage who is a Palace fan. Wonder why he didn't travel down with him in the first place. It would have stopped all that train swapping and moaning.

Maybe Palace fan was visiting people here for the weekend as well as watching us on the Sunday.

Hope TP doesn't fall in the same trap....

I think it's just a slip up. Even if it's not there's no malice.

He goes on to say he likes s***ty/crumbling grounds.

I didn't find any malice in the article, let's be honest selhurst is possibly the worst away section in the prem.

I love the AW, the low roof is great for acoustics, we get to enjoy the game the way we like in the back section on block W. The view is great (well ignoring the scaffolding obstructing our view of the main stand). I love the feeling of being the underdog and not falling trap to the premiership dream of sitting for 90mins on padded seats, there is something nostalgic each time I walk onto the concourse, familiar faces, grimy concourse followed by a walk up to filthy wooden seats where no one around me sits down. The roar of the holmesdale to my left, the occasional stir from the away fans to my right.

I guess is some ways it sounds like I'm bragging about a date with vanessa feltz, people will think I'm mad,but you have to be in there to know what I'm talking about.
Win or lose, I love it and wouldn't swap with anyone
I can't wait for saturday, feels like another cup final looming
