Just read this in The mirror, hope its inaccurate
Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams is set to go out on loan after the arrival of Tom Ince from Blackpool. His availability will spark a scramble among Championship clubs when the loan window reopens next week. Williams, 20, is highly-rated but has yet to make a Premier League start this season. Palace boss Tony Pulis will also let Scotland star Barry Bannan go on loan after his move to Swansea fell through. Midfielder Bannan was due to join Swansea until they ran out of time, but now he could be shifted on loan to the Championship. Bannan may be one of several senior players cut from Tony Pulis’s squad when it is changed for the second half of the season. Veteran centre half Paddy McCarthy may also be cleared to go, which will interest Blackburn Rovers.

Are Blackburn that desperate to play in League One?

If we were established in the Prem I could see a benefit to loaning Williams, but as he's not even going to take up a valuable squad place surely we're better to keep him as an option? Look at what's happened to the Arsenal midfield. A bulk of midfielders can get injured at any point. Bannan seems a shame but I don't think anyone's too surprised.

I agree on both fronts, seems pointless loaning Williams, With Bannon earlier this season when he got the chance i though he seemed out most productive player

Can not be right as we would be left with 23 man squad. The fact that Bannon came on today makes me think this is incorrect.

Don't know what's happening with JW - great little player who always seems to get things started (even if his finishing is worse than Bolasie's!). It does seem that Pulis likes his players big - same with Bannan and Gayle seeming frozen out. Shame if he has to go elsewhere to make it big.

Williams as a 20 year old is not in the 25 man squad, and it would be an advantage to him to be loaned out to one of the better Championship teams, so he can gain some very useful game time and experience, and as it only a short loan he can be recalled if needed. Bannan is also not a problem, he can be named in the squad of 25, sent out on loan for the same reasons as Williams, he can be recalled also if needed, and so long as he's named in the 25 man squad before being loaned out can go back into the 25 man squad. So win, win, all round, the players will be getting game time which they most likely won't at the moment, and will still be available if we suddenly get a lot of injuries.

Understand sending Williams out on loan tbh, even though he is one of my favourite players and I'd love him to get more game time with us it does actually make sense.
