What is going on at Palace we have really turned the corner under TP and playing at times some good football despite reports a about his style of play.

But things are not right too many papers are now reporting unrest and that SP interferes too much even on twitter a Millwall reporter is saying that now people know what IH was fed up with and why he left.

I got to say that looking in from the outside I too think things are not right no signings despite TP saying he wanted players in early doors.

There just seems to be constant rumours at present and TP has not come out and declined these rumours.

What exactly is IM doing as yet I can't see what he has been brought to the club for I know it is early days but I would have thought and how SP sold it to us fans was that he would really help us in this window well the jury is definitely out on this.

I know we have fans that will say don't panic all is ok these are only rumours but let's be honest this has and is not going away and it now seems to be being reported all over which tells me all is not well and as a palace fan I am really concerned.

I really think with TP we can build something here especially if we stay up why on earth would we not allow him to bring at least 3 players not asking to break the bank but we are in PL and need to be realistic I mean offering Sissoko 15k a week is non starter.

Please SP or SB or TP come out and tell us what is happening and put all our minds at rest so that we all get focused on the job in hand.

The last time we were in the PL if we had bought Cahill & Ashton we would have stayed up let's not make the same mistakes.

Up the a Palace.

Our plan is to buy good premiership players for cheap, which is fundamentally flawed as if they are good players, other clubs will offer them more money

Eh? What exactly is the 'job in hand' that 'we' need to focus on?

Being supporters?

I hate these threads they are based on nothingness by media speculation. I guarantee by February 1st we will have new signings. People look into things to much.

You sound like a broken man who has just been dumped by his girlfriend and is desperately seeking to know about the gossip on his ex girlfriend and who she's seeing.

Relax, chill, it's all rumours and paper gossip. The club is in good hands and will not be held to ransom over over rated, over paid & over the hill players . We will get the right players in when its on the clubs terms not TPs. I think our squad is evidently more than capable of surviving with the squad we have + we have the possibility of Murray to return.

SP and the others just need to decide which is financially better; spending a lot of money and trying to stay in the Premier League or keeping the money for future seasons.
It has become a farce again and I just hope that IM has actually been doing good work that hasn't been leaked to the media so there might be a few nice surprises next week...not holding my breath though.

I was thinking the other day that the current situation reminds me of the season after we finished third in the league and were in a position, where with a bit of investment, could have changed the future of the club..instead we did the regular Palace trick of snatching failure from the jaws of victory

Here we have been given hope and momentum by Pulis arrival and of the 10 clubs or so in the dogfight seem to have the bet man at the helm to get us out of it.

To do this is patently obvious we need a little more quality and if we do stay up who knows..

Now its not about splashing cash about wantonly but it seems that EVERY target seems out of our reach and if we keep the same attitude then we will not buy the goals that may keep us up, or the CB that can settle that back four when under pressure or that player to create and add guile to the hard work

I have a sinking feeling that yet again wrong decisions at the top will shape the history of the club for the next decade...as happened with Bloye, Noades, Jordan et al

I have fingers crossed that in the next few days everything will turn up roses but its more hope than expectation at the moment

I think our plan is to live within our means, and not be forced to use all our transfer budget on one player because of having a gun held against our heads.

We clearly don't have the same sort of budget as other teams, which makes life a bit harder. But we are at the stage of the season where some fans forget about the benefits of not having a suidical transfer policy, and also how much spending beyond our means has set us back twice.

I think there are quite a few fans self-combusting, who want us to buy someone, anyone because failure to do so will apparently be the end of the world.

In terms of a player who would be guaranteed to make the difference, I've not yet seen anyone linked with us that might,

In an age of social media and tabloid journalism it is so easy to create a self feeding story of conflict and discord, possible transfers are discribed as rumour or twitter feed, a story on one website is repeated on another as actual hard news, an the old adage "there's no smoke without fire" is write large

Can't wait for the transfer window to shut!

I am not sure we are hitting the self destruct button but more likely that the owners have all but accepted we are going to get relegated and are and have planned for us to be a financially stable championship team. In our current position and with our financial history I think they are too risk adverse and need to seize the great opportunity we have of real financial stability and stay in the PL
