...at the bottom could be really pivotal for us if we pick up 3 points.

Its one of those where a lot of the bottom 10 are playing each other with two sides probably staring down the barrel of a defeat.

Hull have us away (obviously)
Palace have Hull at Home (well derrrr) but...

Sunderland v Stoke - anybodys but I fancy Sunderland
Swansea v Fulham - anybodys but would fancy Swansea
Villa v WBA (and WBA away at Everton tonight)- draw written all over it
Norwich v Newcastle - Draw at best for the Budgies, fancy Magpies
Man Utd v Cardiff - Even with their woes still should be Moyes to win
Chelsea v Fat Sams West Ham - Not a prayer

So sprinkle in those draws, slight fancies and potential defeats for Cardiff, West Ham and Norwich and any win against Hull for us is massive....Not usually being one to count their chickens and this is Palace we are talking about but a win against Hull, with the potential results above, the table could look like this - beautiful, we are starting to look atthe stars rather than the gutter - still tight but what a boost to the club, the players and us if we can squeak another 1-0

Swans 24
Hull, Norwich, Palace 23
Stoke 22
Sunderland, WBA 21
Fulham 19
West Ham, Cardiff 18

The Hull game is a biggie and not just because 'I dont walk away from anywhere' Bruce is in town - the man who has walked away from most jobs he has been in

Isnt it exciting

It's simple really. Beat Hull and West Brom in our next two home games and operation Pulis will really begin to soar.

Indeed

I guess the point I am trying to make is these weeks where we are all playing each other where a couple have very difficult games really are weeks where we have to kick on..we can put clear water on some in these weeks and they are really pivotal as to whether we can escape the drop.

couldn't agree more. we did VERY well in matches we had to win - with the exception of Fulham H where they were lucky too. For the first time this season we have a real chance of putting a buffer zone between us and the relegation zone. we'll need it when our tougher games begin. I cannot wait for that Tuesday night.

Ive said it for the last months these 3 home games (including stoke) were always likely to shape our season.

If we are still in or say a point off the relegation zone after them then I fear it won't be our year. Weve got a tough run of games with trips to the north east, Swansea and homes against united and chelsea.

I feel it so important because of that run to get these points on the board

If results go our way we will look in such a strong position but....
I think we really need to beat Hull anyway as any lead we build up couldget chipped away at while we're at Arsenal, etc.
Its all swings n roundabouts at this stage

That would depend on who is playing who...its these all against each other weekends where you can really stretch away purely because there are so many six pointers

We always seem to do alright against Hull, last season draw away when they were flying, then the home win with the Philips hatrick. This season the away win, so am hoping a full selhurst will push us to the double over them.
