20 points from 22 games after 3 from 10 initially.

Remarkable turnaround.

Gabbidon and Delaney have been a revelation all season. Very surprising and definitely pleasing to see a partnership form. I thought those two required replacing last summer after promotion. Shows what I know :-)

Also forgot to say guedioura looks quality in that attacking position where I thought he would play a lot deeper

Our self-confidence and team spirit. Through a simply abject start, through three managers, scoring very few goals, and with on average about 40% possession in most games and with a ridiculous August transfer window to further unsettle things, the players have never panicked, never lost their spirit, never lost focus, always believed in themselves, always stayed calm, and always played with 100% commitment and a smile on their faces. Even when some of us in the stands haven't believed, they clearly have.

I think we have an exceptional TEAM. Far, far greater than the sum of its individual parts. And it is that spirit, community, ability to rely on each other, and, I suspect, the existence of some real friendships in the squad that are going to keep us up. Relegated teams tend to fall apart under stress. With us, not a chance of that.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Great post sydtheeagle, reading it was like Wembley all over again! I really think this says it all. We rode out our wobbliest stage already.

Nice post syd... and ive gotta say that i think the bond between players and fans is great too... think we help the players a lot with our support and it makes a difference to them on the pitch.

Agree fully with your comments here Syd, I am rather pleased to read this post because I have just been reading the thread about Parish and I don't agree with that, but you have it absolutely dead on about the team.

Team spirit is good now - so a surprise after the Holloway era (in the Prem) - a flashback to 2004/5 when despite evrything we stuck together.
Delaney has surpassed anything I thought he was capable of - he has been brilliant.
