Agree totally. Palace are a proper club with proper fans as opposed to Man Utd. That's what happens when a football club becomes too successful - you start to lose the spirit for it all and approach every game with the expectation of winning.

Weird thing I found with United fans was how many outside the ground were dressed in proper casual gear, singing and giving it large. I felt like giving a couple a smack on the way out who were mouthing off at Palace but held back.

That's the thing, for as many tourists they have, Man Ure have plenty of proper, decent lads going to the games, who you only really notice at away games, but who all of a sudden appeared outside the away end at full time, same with on the walk to the ground. Very strange, but in the ground you could hear a pin drop.

A few Man Ure fans were mouthing off at a trio of Palace fans after the game in the que for the train, the former of which had to be held back by his girlfriend amidst the uneasy tension. Another mouthy scarf seller got into an argument with a few Palace fans outside Old Trafford, but that's probably annoyed tensions due to the penalty, WHICH NEVER WAS.

As for Old Trafford, so bloody quiet and boring. The Palace fans made ALL the noise.

That's the problem with all these bigger clubs that have big support(Newcastle not included). There's probably 30/40 thousand genuine fans with history or family tradition then they have 20 thousand tourists/flirters/glory-hunters! Ollie's very proud of our supporters today Dad,Ash.

The saddest thing would be the hundreds of thousands "diehard" united fans that watched from their armchair or at the pub and have never been to Old Trafford, and never will.

Glory Hunters.

Was staggered at how many Utd fans were walking around with them scouse wigs on and at £8 a pop too.
Was stood right next to the Manc fans in the end behind the goal with just a line of stewards between us and had loads verbals with quite a few of them.
Mostly because I booed Young and gave him a load of abuse after the dive, some of the most arrogant wa-ker fans I have had the misfortune of mixing with.
They really think teams should turn up the fans should shut the f-ck up while we hand them 3 points on a plate.
Had a blinding day by the way

Chap doing our boiler today is a Palace fan and he went. He was right near the lino who couldn't help the ref for the "penalty/ Red card incident".
He said the Moan U fans were utterly quiet, so much that the Palace fans were singing "Are we in a library?". Quality from our boys, all I could here on the box was the Palace fans, you are a credit to this this club.
