First of all I'll point out I'm a Watford fan :-)

I know you've seen some people posting about how Watford will win easily etc etc but that's far from the general consensus. While I think we have a decent chance of winning I don't think we've got a greater chance than Palace. Most Watford fans I know have the same feeling (and a little nagging doubt!).

It's impossible to call it but I do think it'll be a good game. Whereas we're good going forward we can look a bit shaky at the back. Obviously Murray is a big loss but Phillips always scores against us. Whoever wins will only win by the odd goal.

Anyway most Watford fans don't have a problem with Palace although Holloway is becoming a bit of a hate figure. Enjoy the day but not too much!

Good to see some friendly banter can be had on here without it resorting to insults and swearing!
I think it was a fair reflection of our form when we entered the playoffs that we were written off as the worst team of the four...but we somehow turned it around and are back to the Palace of a few months ago that could barely lose a game, so this one should be a cracker of a game.

A little bit of skill from someone and some nervy defending will surely be the difference between the two sides...let's just hope it's Super Kev that comes up with the skill and one of your defenders that is shaky!

I think it truly is 50:50 - but the game is worth so much money that it is going to be horrendous for the team that doesn't win. Fingers crossed and good will to all men...except Brighton fans!

May I ask why is Holloway a hate figure? is it for stating the truth regarding loan players?

I've got no problem with Watford. Good club, good fans. To be fair to Holloway I think he has a point about your loans but you haven't broken any rules so fair play to you.

I am hoping it'll be a cracking game. Let's be honest here, both defences are weak, whereas our attacking play is a strength. With that in mind you like to think we'll be in for a treat. What's the chances of a boring 0-0 and pens now?!

we can look a bit shaky at the back.

Watford have been deploying a 3 man back-line in a 3-5-2 formation which includes wing-backs.Unfortunately for us 'Vydra' who had gone through a barren spell re-discovered his goal touch with 2 goals against Leicester ! He and Deeney will prove a handful for our defenders.
Dare I say it - Overall I believe that Watford have the edge but it was said that Brighton had the edge over us !

Such a time gap between the sf and final that it is bound to affect one team negatively more than the other.

It is just too hard to call this one if in the event both are on form. Got a sneaky feeling it will be a hard slog though.

I think we will do it. Just. Last minute winner.

For me it all depends which Palace turn up. If we play like we did after Moritz and Bolasie came on on Monday, I think we'll win.

That's it, isn't it? Which Palace will turn up? Same for Watford too as they have been out of sorts a bit. Nerve wracking.

To hard to call, both teams have game changing players, I think the game will be won in midfield, I know its a rather obvious point, but I this case I think it really is the key to winning the game. Whoever has the control of the middle third will win the game.

As for Watford fans not liking Holloway, the truth does hurt, he called the club out for flouting the laws, and they have done.

The proof of this is that if they get promoted, they won't be able to field the same amount of loan players they do now.

In that respect I think we are more suited to going up than them

It's for sure it's going to be a tight, tense game. I don't think you can pick a favourite for it. If anything Watford I guess you could say as we've lost Muzza. However with Wilf and maybe Yannick, we have 2 players who can inject that bit of magic and change the game that Warford don't have the players to do.

Safe to say nobody in Wembley will have any fingernails left at the end.

They have not flouted any rules, they spotted a loophole in the rules and used that loophole, it's not their fault that those administrating football are not as bright as they think they are.

The only problem for Watford is having outwitted THE FA with this transfer embargo it may well come back to haunt them before it's lifted on 31st Aug.

My wife is a Watford supporter, but will be with me in the palace crowd at wembley, the banter between us is great when both teams are paying each other.
