That made me laugh, Sash.

An unrivalled fixture at right back in my worst ever Palace X1....and I don't see that changing anytime soon...

from what i remember he didn't stand a chance,he played right back after the superb paul hinshelwood had left and doris was a hard act to follow as he's still by a million miles the best right back we've had in my time.

we felt sorry for him and got fed up with people slaughtering him every game,so one of us nicked an old bed sheet from home and we made a banner with his name on it.we sung his name and gave anyone verbals who dared to have a pop at him.

he was still s*** and probably oblivious to our attempts, but we had a laugh with it

Dario Gradi signed Brian Bason along with David Price and how do you trap a bag of cement-the one-the only- Tommy langley.

In your wildest dreams you will struggle to find a more inept trio of pure pony!

With respect -- and I know he was never popular among the faithful due to both his Charlton connection and his somewhat dispassionate personality -- John Humphrey performed at a considerably higher level for a considerably longer period of time than Doris did. Much as on an emotional level, I loved Doris as much as the next man, he was not the best right back we've ever had. You could also make a case for John Sewell who, I would say, was certainly on a par with Doris.
