Went on the 'special' to Oldham in mid 80's. There were 100 of us there. The maych was boring and it was raining, so we played football on the terraces....

A new era of total football is on the way to Selhurst Park!!

Was at this game, touch and go if the game was on or not, I recall we were still outside at 2.40! I went on coach one and if memory serves we wore silly ski hats bought on the way up?
Someone was selling them on coach? might have been Robbie?? anyone else rememebr that?

I once remember seeing (wasn't me) a fire extinguisher (or giant chile pepper) fly out of the window and hit a wall of a station at 80mph. Old age refrains me from remembering the station though.

Me and my mate drove up to Oldham in the 80's only to see the game get called off due to snow.
We ended up watching Rochdale versus some old w*nk instead!
Great night out!

I know you are but what am I?

I love this thread!

I recall the Middlesborough game in '87(I think) when we had them in the quarter final of the ZDS cup. There were 50 of us but some will say there were 100.
A game that was frightening and wonderful at the same time.
El barno (he doesn't post much even though he's been a member since about 2001) was so funny that day.
He told me we were going to die as we all did the conga at the final whistle. He then told me to 'brace myself' as the Boro hordes climbed over the spiked railings.
What a day that was!
