Has anyone else got a copy of the single Palace brought out in 1969?/ after promotion to Div 1. I know I have a copy somewhere (have to dig it out sometime). Can't even remember what it was called but think the chorus was - so three cheers for Palace of division one.
Another verse was 'so let us hear your voices roar cos' when you do we are sure to score'.
Pretty naff really but had to have it back then.

This sounds familiar. Was it a track called Claret and Blue?? I wasnt born till 1990, but a few years back my Dad bought me a Palace CD from the club shop and I believe this was on there. I could be mistaken though

"I have come to love this club and still I am in love with this club" - Dougie Freedman, Palace legend.

"FOR F*CK SAKE MURRAY!"

30/11/11 I was there!

I've never heard this or heard of it and I supported Palace from 1963.

I never cease to be amazed?

You could try getting in touch with "Sounds Of The Sixties" on radio 2. Bryan Mathew often finds obscure singles for people. I doubt that it was a "hit" though, so maybe a thin chance, but you never know.

'fraid to say,I have this on 7'' vinyl.
the centre of the record was the then new trendy CP
The b side plums new depths with 'why cant we all get together' (regardless f race, colour or creed.... etc) sung with the team & their wives!
I'd post it if I could but have no way of transfering from vinyl myself.

I`ve got this. Up in the attic with the rest of my vinyl.

Interestingly,I seem to recall Ray Davies (Kinks) was involved in the production.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]
