Penge Eagle Beckenham 17 Jun 03 10.59am | |
---|---|
We haven't done this for a while and a few new bods have have signed up to the site since. I live in Beckenham (Penge end) and thought I'd put Penge on the map as it sounds better than Beckenham Eagle which is a bit of a mouthful.

Safehands was already taken and I wanted something that was Palace-related ... RednBlue was already taken so it was a simple matter of swopping the colours!

It's always been my nickname, unfortunately, even though I'm a handsome devil really.

I was going to put something Palace related but in the end couldn`t be bothered thinking one up and opted for the shortened(but sweet)version of my surname which I`d been called by mates afew years ago now, although not my current bunch.Kavanagh. Why does this feel like an AA meeting?!

the despotic banana Dept. of Baboon Maintenance 17 Jun 03 12.23pm | |
---|---|
Studying 'Animal Farm' at GCSE English, I was bored out my mind one lesson and so wrote a p1ss-take of the book replacing the animals with fruit. The Napoleon character was called The Despotic Banana. Later in my life I became a regular contributor to 'Zine (a channel 4 teletext page) and adopted The Despotic Banana as my nom de plume. The name stuck and here we are today...

Well, quite simple, my name is Jonathan so obviously it is Jon for short. I have been a programme seller at Palace for 7 years now, and most people at the Palace know me so hence Programme Seller. If ya don't believe me, you can find me every matchday outside Sainsburys near the cash points. I am the young fellow with the goatee, and normally bring my nephew if I can. Hopefully they won't do what they usually do and move me all over the place again. So there you go, why I am called Jonprogrammeseller. JPS
Red n' Blue through and through..........
