T-Rex from the A-Z book of dinasaurs!

Lol, but that could actually be correct, as the band was originally called 'Tyrannosaurus Rex' before changing it to 'T. Rex' (not forgetting the dot after the T).

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

THEM, one of my favourite groups in the 60s with Van Morrison in the lineup. I played 'Baby Please Don't Go' incessantly at a party aimed at a girlfriend who fancied another lad.

The group was named after a 1954 sci-fi horror about giant ants.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

And they were popular with John Peel while he was still playing hippy stuff. Anyone who could release an album called My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows were certainly of their time. As a title it's up there with Pink Floyd's song Several Species of Small Furry Animals in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict.

Hence the saying that if you can remember the 60s then you weren't there!
