I’ve never seen a manager score one either, but I’m sure we would all agree they’re quite important. Top players already come to Palace and other non champions league clubs. There are many examples of ‘all the money in the world’ getting clubs out of mediocrity. If you are happy to see some of the best players we have ever had walk out the door than I wish you all the luck.

If we were to increase the season ticket price by 400% we would be able to generate additional funds equivalent to the sale of Olise. I'm sure everyone would be willing to make the sacrifice. Edited by highbury eagle (29 Jun 2024 8.07pm)

We get 25k in a terrible stadium, we've never won a major honour and have never played in Europe. What would make anyone think we're not a selling club.

Pay attention at the back. Of course we're a selling club. This is a good thing. The explicit strategy is to buy younger players that have resell value. Not being a selling club, as we were, is financially crippling. Yes its heartbreaking to see an Olise leave but would you prefer to buy a 31-year old looking for his final big payday and who limps out at the end of his contract? If the money goes towards the new stand - great! If it goes entirely back to strengthen Future's bright under Glasner. Cant wait for the season to start.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

We are not not a selling club. Every club is a selling club. But we are now a club which can dictate the price it wants, for its players, its good business. We scouted those players, there's no reason we can't scout more players, we've probably already done that and have players lined up who can replace them. Franca, Wharton, Ebiowei are already here and can replace them. Whats not to like. Yes, Eze and Olise are amazing players, but we scouted them, so why can't we replace them? We are not not a selling club, but we have now progressed to a club that can turn a massive profit from its sale of players. Was it £7 million we signed Olise for? Even with sell on adds ons, that we have to pay to Reading, then its still a massive profit. Edited by Freddie Crocker (30 Jun 2024 4.46pm)
