Never rated Roy, nice guy but boring rigid, yes on our day, we had some great wins, but really hated his time with us for example Sorloth and Mayer. Roy was never interested in young players, because he had no time for them, just old experienced Pro's... Plus Roy had hump with Dougie that he didn't buy "seasonal" pros with no real on going sale value. So Roy played Sorloth on the wing!! Sorloth, stood up and said I dont want to play for Roy... why because hes proved it now, he had ambitions and knew he had the ability to be a top player. so well done to him As for Roy, the stale air has left the club.. Phew. love this fresh air. Ps well done Sorloth, another under Roy that got away. O'Brien went to Lyon as he saw no future under Roy. James Mc didnt want to continue under Roy, he declined a year's extra contract.. Jame said soon after PV had replaced Roy.. "im enjoying my football again" (after 4 years under Roy!) Meyers confidence was shot, Benteke's too under Roy. Remember Mateta wanted to leave in January 24 because he had enough under Roy!!! I can only really think of Collymore and now Sorloth. And in Sorloth's case it has taken him about 3/4 years to come good.

Overall I think our managers and talent scouts tend to get it right.
