Firstly congratulations to Bromley on there promotion to the League. Will this be good or bad for palace ie attendances etc? Or no effect at all ?

Well done Bromley!! The word "groundshare" came instantly into my mind after the final whistle today. Would only help both clubs financially! Edited by Sweden Eagle (05 May 2024 6.38pm)

Bromley have been developing Hayes Lane over the last few years and will not need to ground share. They are a well run club and operate within their means. Big congrats to them today - fully deserved. Could be playing Charlton in a season or two.

Whilst the ground meets requirements, unfortunately the pitch does not as it is plastic, so will have to be ripped up and a new grass surface will need to be laid , will this be ready for the start of the season i dont know

This will be a big loss to overall revenues. Sutton has shown it's difficult for a small, well run club who benefitted by using their astro turf pitch 12 hours a day 7 days a week, to replace that income as well as increasing costs, which will clearly be the case. Hopefully Bromley can manage - their crowds will need to increase substantially i suspect

Quite good news. I live in Langley area of Beckenham so my 3 miles east will be League 2 and 3 miles west will be Premier League fun with local teams I also have Beckenham FC few yards away probably in 9th tier and never tried, would definitely try. I declare next season as `local teams` season.
