Billam-Smith was a worthy winner.Riakporhe was disappointing.
Riakporhe had a point deducted and how two judges only had 3 pts between them is beyond my comprehension.
My scorecard had Billam-Smith the victor by 7 pts.

I agree with you cept I had CBS winning by 9 with the point deducted.

RR looked to heavy and slow and is used to people backing off him and allowing him to detonate the right hand.
He didn't seem to be able to take a step back to try and create that space but instead kept marching forward which played into CBS's hands.

I wouldn't say he wasn't at the same level but RR showed me last night that he may struggle to become a world champion although moving up to Bridgerweight may give him a better chance.

Gone are the days of Sportsnight on the BBC with Harry Carpenter commentating on the often shown Boxing.

Loved the theme music too. A blast from the past:

Last night looked like a British level fight. 34, no chance of winning a world title now.
Cant see the interest in a rematch , the score cards were far too close, think RR only won 3 rounds. He was throwing a punch, then clinching. He was closing the distance, when should have been keeping the fight long.
Let himself down last night, unfortunately. Still modelling for Burberry and possibly s** going Madonna , so not the end of the world.
Opetia could beat them both on the same night.

Think that was the last time I took an interest in boxing .As soon as it went onto sky and worse PPV it just wasnt worth the money . One of the attractions of it is talking about it with your mates at work the next day . When nobody has watched it it sort of loses the point

ITV with the Benn/Eubank era was the best!
