He's definitely not a central midfielder, but he's proving himself to be a good CB. I would be very comfortable getting the cash for Guehi and starting the season with a back 3 of Lerma, Andersen and Richards.

As well as Lerma did, if we sell Guehi, I think it would be wise to buy another CB.

Richards is probably the best all-round CD we have.

Yep, would be wise, but could be a 19/20 year old we think can make it to the top that we ease in slowly. 6 months ago I'd have said it needs to be like for like, so we're in a far better position now.

Agreed. We may go for Edwards at Peterborough and/or the Dutch CB Glasner rates who's at Union Berlin.

Lerma could be the new (but better) Kouyate who can step into defence if needed.

Richards has always looked excellent at CB in my opinion. Monster in the air, strong and comfortable on the ball. Trouble is both Andersen & Guehi are slightly better. With everyone fit, you'd expect him to be in the back three.

The selection headache will be in midfield with one of Doucoure, Wharton or Lerma to drop to the bench.

Hopefully a strong end to season will show our key players we have the potential to push higher up the table next season. Now that Mateta has turned into a totally different player and Mitchell can seem to get forward, we look a serious team.

He is definitely a more commanding centre half compared to Guehi and Anderson. He tends to keep things simple playing out from the back ( not necessarily a bad thing ) but Anderson's range of passing is elite for a centre half and probably the best in the premier league. Similarly Guehi can dribble and is not unhappy to venture pass the half line if not closed down.

A player who is so comfortable on the ball and has the ability to bring the ball out of defence and make forward runs. His passing ability has drawn plaudits.

He looked very comfortable playing out from the back on Sunday. Unhurried, good vision for short passes. Also seems to arrive very quickly and accurately for slide challenges.

You can pretty much guarantee 1 in 5 will be injured at any time. Lerma will get plenty of opportunities and Guehi will probably be gone anyways
