The All Blacks would be Brazil and South Africa would be Germany of old. Wales would be somewhere between the Czech Republic and Croatia. Japan would be Japan. England anyone? Could be Italy!
Ireland? Scotland, and what about France - must be the Dutch, lovely to watch but never win the big'un.

Ireland would not be 'Republic of Ireland'

cos the former wins a ton of games and the latter is shyte. Also cos Billy boy Alaister McAlaister & his Lambeg Drum are only happy to support the former - they despise the latter - especially when it steals some good players from their geographical patch.

Italy, again would not be Italy .....cos the former is shyte and the latter wins a ton of games. So the Italy Rugby team would become Romania Football team - similar dna but just lacking that killer instinct.

Saracens would become Arsenal......North London, BLM, innit.

Toulouse would be Real Madrid

Leinster would be AC Milan......second best overall.

A third of the Ireland team were literally bought in. So probably would be a bit of a piss take to call them Ireland. Any Irish youngsters can always hope one day they become a New Zealander and get approached by Ireland.

Tony Cascarino played Football for the ROI. He qualified by mumbling something about having an irish great-great grandmother who came over just after the Potato Famine. He wasn't sure if she was a Murphy or a Reilly. Record-keeping (& archives) got a bit jumbled in the 1920 War of Independence.

....the truth will always out. After retiring, he confessed to not having an irish molecule in any of his DNA. Fair enough, he still got to live the dream and play in the World Cup.

True - but no one cares as they clearly wouldn't ever win anything, despite the hype. Rugby's a little different when only a few countries take it seriously - and even then a lot are bothering less and less. The highlight being New Zealand B and South Africa B in the world cup. I'm sure you can imagine who they are.

the France Rugby team and the France Football team are so different to each other. They are almost like Black and White.

The Polish teams ? not so much.
