Eze back in training, but not in the squad for tomorrow. Just picked that up from this afternoons press conference.

That's fine. We can win without him tomorrow - save him for Spurs.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

God is on our side, and the pitch with 10 on his back
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Thought this was gonna be a thread about where he’s going to play in this 3-4-3 line up. Great to think Glasner may have a selection headache. Personally I want to see Eze in the middle, not one of the most forward, attacking 3 players. So for me, 4-3-3 seems to be best

I don’t think the current system would get the best of Eze if it means him taking a position on the left of the front three (essentially Edouard’s current position). I suppose it may be possible, in Olise’s absence, to have Mateta at the point of the attack with Ayew and Eze floating around either side of him in a more fluid system as the game progresses. Giving him a free role makes sense. He isn't the best defensively but so few can do what he can going forward that we need to make the best of him, not putting him in Hoddle's class, yet, but he couldn't tackle a fish supper and he did alright.

I saw some analysis that suggested the front three should play quite close together and centrally with the wing backs providing the width. Eze could technically be on the ‘left’ of a front three and still operate within the lines of the penalty areas.
