What season did Palace first wear red and blue vertical stripes as their home kit?

Well he never played naked!!

That game when Rogers ran half of Selhurst and slotted the ball into the homesdale goal against Man U, he was wearing the red and blue diagonal stripe. As I recall Alan Whittle also scored and Gerry Queen. We ran out 5-1 winners.
That must have been about the same time. Maybe the season before because I too remember Rogers wearing the stripes.
