I was told Glasner has been told by both Parish and Freedman that he will have a budget to spend in the summer which he is happy with. It is not conditional on sales. Glasner has it written into his contract that he has a say on who comes and who leaves.
Basically, If say, Olise is happy at Palace and not agitating for a move and Glasner wants to keep him it will only take a stupid offer to tempt the club to sell. Even then if the club still dont feel he can be replaced and Glasner wants to keep him he may yet still be kept even in that scenario.
I think it will only be if a player wants to go that the club will listen to offers. It will still need to be a good value offer.

I think Glasner will find good value players in Austria & Germany hopefully unearthing a few uncut gems as well as polished ones. He must have personal knowledge + a network of scouts over there which will be a huge.

I also think we should try to keep either Eze or Olise even if it means adding generously to their salary. Not only are they great players who make things gel and tick/score goals but they are a magnet for other signings and a show of intent to the fans. Selling both would be a mistake and a backwards step.

Could become almost as much a cult figure as Marco Reich.

Who we sell comes down to money. Would we sell Olise for a billion? Of course we would.

Once you internalise that fact, it is a question of price, who wants your assets, what they are willing to pay, and the wishes of your assets.

All that actually matters is being ready for all eventualities. Brighton have shown that time and again over the past few seasons. It would be no surprise to see Ferguson have a break out season...Mitoma, Estupinian, Caicedo....

We don't have to be them, but they have shown that market intelligence is of almost immeasurable value.

I hope Glasner will demand greater market efficiency, and our recent successes...Olise, Eze, Wharton, Doucoure to name a few, will give us more confidence to enter the market and build a genuine squad.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

stay up this season, by hook or crook, ideally playing better footy than roy (not that difficult)
next season - better footy, look a threat, easy upper mid table and compete in the cups.
thats good enough

I would agree with Robbo though , its the sitting back that makes us tired . When the other side has the ball and you're chasing shadows it's more tiring than keeping possession yourself .

So on that note Im expecting more possession . His style to date would indicate the width will come from the full backs so Im also expecting the end of us playing wingers . Maybe not replacing Zaha was always the plan and Glasner has been lined up for some time

Our attacking options suddenly look half decent with a narrow front three and runners from the midfield .The players we have brought in the last years (Ahamada ,Lerma ,Franca and Watson ) certainly fit a Glasner style more than Roys .

The cunning plan has been exposed , lets hope its worth it

We'll have more possession but we'll also be quite direct and vertical passes between the lines will always be the priority over racking up the pass count. Watched a bit of his Wolfsburg side this week and I think Palace fans will love his football

If we beat Burnley, he will be hailed as a hero. If we lose, there will be calls to sack him! If we draw, there will just be a few moans.

I’d expect us to be less rigid than we were under Hodgson , with Mateta no longer isolated having no Palace player within 30 yards of him.
I’d also anticipate us playing the ball forward earlier and more directly.
Many of us on here have been calling for us to carry more threat to the opposition, rather than passing the ball around at the back for no discernible purpose.
It’s difficult to score when you don’t get players in the opposition penalty area.
