As soon as Mr Hodgson announced he would be stepping aside, the wonders of modern-day high-speed technology came to the fore with a new manager being approached and an agreement reached at breakneck speed !!

And there's me thinking Roy should have gone in December, and when he didn't go and the results got worse and yet he still was the manager, the reasoning turned to "he'll be here to the end of the season"..
I'll hazard a guess that it was around December that Glasner was approached. Did Roy know what was going on behind his back?
Remarkable the speed with which Roy announced he was stepping dpwn and Glasner appointed. Very efficient Mr Parish. The January window signings seem to be in line with the philosophy. Pure chance of course.
I welcome Glasner and look forward to better things. He has a brief window in which to impress his ideas on the team and then we should hopefully kick on.

Good recent interview with him here, it's in German but if you turn on YouTube subtitles they're pretty accurate.

I think he talks well, comes across as a decent person and I like how he didn't just go to the Saudi league. Everyone I've spoken to here thinks he's a great manager and are a little surprised we've managed to get him.

Hopefully he'll be able to adjust in time which is no small task but he certainly has good credentials.

Fingers crossed we can get through this season and then really start to build..
I just hope we've been honest with him and said it's highly likely we'll be selling a couple of star players in the summer to fund the build.

As everyone, I'm really hoping this works out and that he's not handed in his resignation by fulltime this eve.

Really insightful analysis by Jesse Marsch on tonight's MNF on Sky as to how Glasner gets his teams to play. Really worth seeing if anyone can. Interesting that he has taken the `Red Bull` family of tactics and merged it with his own. He has developed this style of play across all the teams he ahs managed.

In sunny Tenerife at the moment (sorry guys given the weather I understand you have at the moment) and played golf with a German mate of mine. He speaks very highly of Glasner and sees him as a bit of a coup for Palace. Hope he is right, signs are certainly good so far.

Obviously will be a challenge but whereas I grew to dread us playing good sides under Roy, I'm really excited for this one even if we do lose. Just nice to think that we'll actually have a go!

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...
