We have averaged a point a game over the 24 PL games. The same average over the remaining 14 games should see us 'Home and hosed'.

The games against Everton, Burnley, Luton and Forrest will define our season. If we get 9-10 points from those games, we should be ok.

Everton - Draw
Burnley - Win
Spurs - Lose
Luton - Win
Newcastle - Lose
Forest - Draw
Bournemouth - lose

That would put us on 32 which may be enough this season.

It leaves us with West ham H, Fulham A, Wolves H, Villa H to get any other points we need.

We have to not lose to the four teams in the mix with us.

Alas, I simply cannot see us getting 9-10 points from these games.
Perhaps we will attain 4 pts from these matches.

I simply do not believe that attaining over 2 points a game over the next 4 games is realistic.
It has taken us the last 11 games to collect 9 pts.

It's a question of reality.
Where are the goals coming from to enable wins?
Mateta gets few chances the way we play and Ayew and Schlupp rarely score.
We don't get goals from midfield (Lerma's last night being a rarity) in the absence of Eze and Olise.
We don't score from corners or set pieces.
We don't keep clean sheets.
What's going to change ?
It's not being negative, but a realistic assessment of the way we've performed this season.
It's not as if we've missed loads of chances or continually hit the woodwork.
We barely work the opposition keeper.

I wholeheartedly concur with these sentiments.

I appreciate that I am well-renowned for my negativity on HOL but I believe I am being realistic in terms of our prospects over the next few matches.

These are the problems we face and the reasons I expect another defeat at Everton next Monday. Whilst ever Hodgson sets us up not to concede and fails miserably to achieve that (13 games now without a clean sheet) we will continue to lose games irrespective of the opposition. Our attacking play lacks cohesion, probably because we rarely attack in a meaningful way.

All we need is 4 wins somewhere till the end of the season we will be fine.

Can’t see where our next win is coming from - let alone 4 - with Captain “Cock-Up” at the helm..!!

13 games without a clean sheet is down to Roy's blind ,misguided loyalty to Henderson, who has let in an avalanche of goals almost representing a cricket score.
His confidence is clearly shattered and time for the more dependable Johnson to wear the gloves.
Doubt though, that Roy is even capable of seeing common sense as he guided us to get another inevitable defeat away to Everton on Monday.
