I never have liked parties for myself, I don’t like being the centre of attention. Also why have a room full of people you haven’t seen for years, quite often there’s a reason you haven’t seen certain people.
Also as my wife’s old grandad used to say, you can choose your friends but you’re stuck with your family!!

I’ve got a millstone birthday this year, we’re just buggering off on holiday, she hasn’t told me where yet
