Your reply to him also had nothing to do with comparing squads. You didn't like his opinion, he commented, imo you were rude to him. Perhaps you stay off 'board for a while if it upsets you so much. I apologise to him if anything I said came across as rude but that certainly wasn’t intended - I offered a different view and was then told to calm myself down or whatever else. I think I’ll take your advice - apparently it’s not right to disagree with anyone in a football discussion on a football forum. Bizarre.

In my opinion a full strength current side would win. For all our current woes our present first choice line-up has greater depth of quality. On its day that 2012/2103 side were good but I also remember seeing some dire performances in the second half of that season when we went on something like a 10 game run without a win. Can't imagine the current team doing that !

This is a bit of a daft thread to be honest. The current team are much better athletes, much more skillful footballers, but they just have nothing to fight for. I get it. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. You play it out for a season and get some great wins and then you see Dougie sign Holding and Henderson and ignore the gaping holes elsewhere, and as a result you get pummeled. What's the point? Why try? DoF and Chairman aren't.
