Fair one..!!

So as Chairman - wouldn’t you put these items in priority..??

So if it were me I would say:

1. We’ve set a strategy to invest in youth, so the academy and recent signings - current Manager not embracing the strategy and/or incapable integrating obvious talent into the first team delivering sub standard results / performances..
2. On from one replace Manager that will embrace the above - then get a realistic appraisal of where additional recruitment / resources are required, given the resources and talent already to hand.
3. Discuss plan with other investors - make clear that unless investment / funds
made available now there is a real chance we will be relegated so all shareholding’s, investments and overall club value will be significantly diminished.
4. On from 3 I will remove my ridiculous insistence on having equal voting rights and bring it in line with my shareholding - whilst still offering my services and full attention to the running of the club.
5. On from points 2 and 3 - transfer window closes at midnight on 1st February 2024 - so funds need to be made available now - to give us the opportunity to make best use of funds to ensure best quality recruitment for the areas identified - be that loan or purchase.
6. Complete points 1 through 5 - should bring the fans back onside - without their support and backing we are nothing.
7. On the basis that all that goes we retain our Premiership status then I think a real conversation needs to be had around club strategy and direction - I maintain that we need to complete the construction of the new stand to increase attendance and revenue.
8. On 7 I regret that this got mentioned in the press today - given that we currently have more pressing priorities and that fans may have taken this to mean I am on my own flight of fancy / egotistical journey whilst ignoring the current extremely pressing priorities.
9. In the meantime Raine can take a watching brief for the remainder of the season - so that at earliest opportunity in the close season we can all assess board structure, requirements and priorities - both on and off the pitch.

That’s what I’d be doing if I were Steve - will he, will he heck..!!

On your point No4, when there are 4 owners, who all have a vote, how can 1 of them dilute their vote to 10%?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Mate I ain’t no expert in the running of a football club - all I know is from the commercial world..!!

On that basis what I would say - is that someone at board level with a voting/veto right out of proportion to their stake holding percentage - seems a little odd..!!

According to the Guardian Parish has given Roy the next game and some constructive criticism whilst the remainder of the board want to sack him.

I wonder if any constructive criticism was offered in response.

With regard to public comment I cant see how SP can say anything at all given how much things seem to be in the balance particularly the infamous and pointless public vote of confidence.

Parish only holds 25% of the voting rights so if the others wanted to sack him, sacked he would be.

I take your point though about Roy offering constructive criticism in return

Reading it back it says other members of the Board being strongly in favour of him leaving rather than remainder....so of course you are are correct. But there aren't that many so I'm guessing it's probably Textor given the divisions.

That could have been written by any number of people on here.

But it's always interesting to read a neutral perspective.

It is 'Excellent'.

I picked out some snippets:

"in the 16 years since his [Clyne] breakthrough in 2008, the club have had three right-backs."

"Since September, the Eagles have beaten just Burnley and Brentford, and their football has been woeful."

"It offers nothing palpable for supporters to get behind."

"Supporters long for some excitement, an identity and a vision "

"While the Eagles tread water, clubs of a similar stature are taking advantage of the Premier League’s position in football’s food chain"

"Many supporters now want something more but they are not asking the world, just an ambitious signing or two, some attacking football, the occasional proactive substitution. Oh, and perhaps a new right-back."

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

It is a thought provoking and pointed article.
One minor point - we did have a fourth right back, Mariappa, who did a sound job under Pulis and built up a good understanding with Puncheon down the right.
Although a utility defender by trade, he played almost exclusively at right back for us.
