Neither Eze nor Olise excelled when they first got minutes with us. They needed time to adapt to PL football and they had both been roaring successes in the Championship.

None of our current youngsters who have had minutes in the first team have been given the time needed to adapt so it's far too early to judge them IMO. Giving them 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there isn't going to tell us much.

We need to see both Franca and Ozoh starting games (not both at the same time) and more importantly, starting in their best positions not as square pegs in round holes as has been happening with both Franca and Ahamada and to an extent Ozoh (who is very much a box-to-box player in the Academy games).

Furthermore, IMO, Hodgson's comments about the young players this season have done more harm than good.

It's time he moved into retirement IMO.

At the ripe age of 76 I suspect his current role will be his last in club management.

Likewise long-term season ticket holder, and whilst I accept that a level of caution has meant we have up till this point, looked like an established Premier League club, it just doesn't feel like it this week. The words 'Wasted Potential' are not criticizing players, it's probably reiterating player frustration.
I'm not an advocate of recklessness, but we do not feel aspirational. I'm sure Parrish did not pitch the new contract with Olise with a moribund promise of fairly dismal results and relying on other teams to get points deductions.
The protest worked, and the media response has tended to support the sentiments expressed. There is no point protesting if nobody sees it. Doing it outside the ground pre-match will achieve nothing.
I'm not expecting a top six finish, but being a club where you can go and watch world class football being played against us is not why I renew my season ticket.

No I was not at the match, I am however a season ticket holder, in the expensive seats, and have been for over 40+ years, consider this with the crap about the present owners, since we have been in the premier league the following teams have been relegated
Norwich, Fulham x3, Cardiff x2, Hull x2, Burnley x2, QPR, Villa, Norwich x3, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Swansea, Stoke, WBA, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Watford x2, Sheff utd, Southampton, Leeds, Leicester.
So a BOD with no plan, my ar,,, plus of course the training ground and academy, pretty good record in my books, I have no issue with fans venting their anger, but a premeditated,( they took the banners there before result), at an away game, is nonsense, by all means have a Protest at Selhurst outside before a game, by the Directors entrance, i will happily engage with you there, it’s my entrance, then get in and support the team regardless,

I was really disappointed to see that pre-meditated demonstration in front of the players, what sort of message does it send.

Their attitude dis-respectful not worthy of CPFC.

'WASTED POTENTIAL ON AND OFF THE PITCH'
The message it sends is that some supporters feel that player potential is wasted, I would imagine when Eze came across at the end of the ninety minutes to applaud supporters he was thinking something very similar.
If it was aimed at the players it would have read 'No Potential'

Largely agree with this.
But how many of us would have substituted right back Clyne with central midfield player Ahamada playing out of position and woefully exposed?
It was almost setting him up to fail when the game was already gone.
Pointless is more ways than one.

Missed the game and didn't even have phone sig where i was.
Expected to loose but was really disapointed by the final score - and even more so when learnt we were 3-0 at 90 minutes and conceded two in extra time -again! But why ?
Above explains the reason. UNBELIEVABLE!

So let’s do some maths.

Average salary in the uk - £28k. Take home £23,371

Season ticket (not inc away) -say £750.

Roy’s salary - £3m+

Roy gets paid to watch that crap. No risk. The fans are paying up hard earned money to be served up dross.

Here’s another couple. If Roy’s such a great manager.

1. Name one player he’s actually improved ever.
2. Harry Kane on corners.

Great managers improve players.

What has Roy's salary got to do with anything?

1. Eze, PV did not want to start him
2. LMFAO if you bring that up.

The problem is we do not have the luxury to experiment in our position, Roy and his coaching team see them daily when they are training and they have clearly not impressed otherwise they would in. It was also reported by the local press in Brazil that Franca was far from being the finished article and he was injured so you have to question decision to sign for 20mil in the first place which is down to Parish and Freedman. Parish also persuaded Roy to come back out of retirement because the squad overall was so bad no other decent progressive manager wanted the job without a decent transfer budget which as you know we don’t have because Parish has fallen with his fellow investors. I can’t say if Roy judgement is wrong or right but I do agree at 76 he should not have been asked to come back.
