Len 'skinny' Choules I remember him from when I was 'knee-high to a grasshopper'. Third Division South, a reliable stopper from an era remembered with affection. He did run a bookies, I saw him around quite often. RIP

A great team-player, very reliable. Why do I recognise that story/memory? When I wrote about it on here a few years ago, I mentioned that a few of us schoolboys had won the match ball, which appeared in Brockwell and Dulwich parks for a number of years afterwards. Yes, golden memories.
