With our non signings this window plus signings made in the last year that aren’t good enough to play under Hodgson I wonder why Phillips has been allowed to go out on loan again. Surely with Doucoure out Phillips would be ideal to have on the bench for the remainder of this season? The reviews he has got has been excellent but now we loan him to Aberdeen? I suppose he is to young in Hodgson’s eyes? Forget for a moment that Phillips is our player. If you read that Palace were looking at a Wycombe Wanderers player to replace Doucoure, what would you think ?

AFC Wimbledon are after another of our lads this window, Kofi Balmer. He's just come back off a loan & he will join John-Kimanyi Gordon if he goes.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Two Palace youngsters on opposing sides in the Scottish Premiership tonight. Phillips came off the bench for Aberdeen in a 1-1 draw with Dundee for whom Malachi Boateng started.

As posted earlier Kofi Balmer has joined AFC Wimbledon on loan for the rest of the season. At 23yo don't see him playing for Palace . . . [Link]

Think Textor wants all our kids at Molenbeek, Malcolm Ebiowei is now going there on loan, do him good to be playing & at £10m(?) need him to be fit for next season.

Phillips is more box to box rather than defensive midfielder. He was on a season long loan at Wycombe but was being benched as they struggled near the bottom. Palace yanked him out of there and were to get more game time. Aberdeen may be good for Phillips as the Scottish Premiership is at least Championship level at the top end and much higher profile. There is a managerial change however and this may have some impact on his chances of games. I think the next six months are make or break for the lad as, until The stint at Wycombe, he was showing real promise. A shout here for Malachi Boateng who has moved seamlessly into the top level of Scottish football playing nearly every game for Dundee. Here is another lad worth a second look once we Roy is gone.
