To be fair, Man Utd had a double yellow in the Liverpool game recently after Dalot shouted at the ref, received a yellow and then carried on his protest walking away only to receive another yellow.

That does suggest Ref's are getting tougher, regardless of club size. The problem is massive inconsistency.

In that same game, at around the 20 minute mark (way too early in the Ref's mind one can assume and knowing he would ruin the rivalry game), Nunez got a yellow for dissent and kept swearing and sarcastically clapped the yellow. You can't not give that in the 20th but give one to Dalot because its late in the game.

Talking about clubs I actually care about, Ayew probably should have had 2 yellows by the absolute letter of the law that lead to our downfall against Liverpool. However, we all know you get that final warning 99% of the time.

Interesting that both decisions were in Liverpool's favour. Maybe they are now the big club and Man Utd are viewed as a Palace level club for now!

However, agreed with the sentiment, Ref's not putting up with abuse is great for the game, Ref's not being consistent and worrying if something happens in the 5th minute or 95th minute is terrible for the game.
