What a shambles, both roads from clock tower at NJ station closed for over half an hour, Brighton fans not moving at least 10-15 minutes. Many Palace fans late for kick off.

IMHO disgraceful performance by police with no explanation, local people who had popped out for bottle of milk or take away also made to wait.

I normally support the police but whoever was IC of this needs a bollocking

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I quite did not understand what was going on. Weird thing is that i was walking through clock tower and road was closed thus followed the crowd (which was less people few minutes later) and found myself in a backstreet where there were shouts & chants. Noticed that they were Brighton fans shielded by police so i literally walk by few meters away from them

If they were there not sure why main road was closed and if this is where they are supposed to be, not sure why they let me walk from there.

Luckily i was earlier than usual so was not impacted and entry queue was super short (because probably many was blocked).

The situation was being controlled but was a mess tbh. If the fans had been travelling a little while then they were being very pleas ant and that was before the game. After the game I usually go under the subway and we were told to go to the back of Norwood junction the entrance of which was closed so me and many others were sent back on a u-turn. Thursday night was a mess and not just on the pitch.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

There were at least four Police minibuses parked in the petrol station with BX number plates. There is usually only one. Were these carrying West Sussex Constabulary officers on an away day to cause kettling trouble again?

I was walking on the pavement to the game. A dozen mounted police walked briskly towards us and mounted the pavement literally forcing us out of the way. Big blokes on big horses pushing their weight around. Miserable feckers every one
