Surely when we already have The Best League in the World it's impossible for anything to be better. But to foreign owners they don't see why they should share TV money with other clubs and leagues. They also don't see why we have relegation and would much prefer to have football based on invitation. So hello Celtic and Rangers and good bye Luton. The only way to stop this is for the fans to vote with their wallets and even that wont work. If Moan United fans boycotted Old Trafford so what? As long as their fan base in Asia watched on TV it would make no difference. Edited by Badger11 (22 Dec 2023 4.37pm)

Edited by Badger11 (22 Dec 2023 4.37pm) They'd probably like to follow the NFL model and have "special teams" players who would come on to take free kicks, penalties, etc. The game would be 3 hours + long but present far more and break opportunities while players trundle on and off.

This is all about money. Nothing more nothing less. The game will continue to suffer. Its purely a result of foreigners buying into the Premier League clubs to make money. They dont support the teams they own, they are just commodities to make money.

This is why I hate the top clubs. As much as I dislike their greed and arrogance the media coverage doesn't help. "Man Utd 3-2 Aston Villa: Rasmus Hojlund's first Red Devils goal marks start of new era" Seriously? Moan United win a game by one goal and apparently this is the start of a new era. When Man City won their first trophy with the Arab money I think most of us thought this is a new era. One league game in an under performing season? Piss poor reporting by the BBC.

I think they are just desperate to "big" Utd up on the back of the new Ineos investment so that when it turns to tears again in the coming months it makes a better story. Originally posted by Badger11
