When a new player appears in the Premiership the big clubs go into overdrive. Their analysts unpick every aspect of play to find weak spots and inexperience. They then train their players not only to take advantage but to make sure they dig hard at those weak spots. The idea is to prevent the player fully developing and always having weaknesses.

How people fail to understand the dangers of using players too early is beyond me. Especially regularly so other teams get enough data

The question is what is too early though. For some players they are ready at a really young age, Bellingham obviously being the most extreme example. To hold them back could in fact hinder their development. Some young players lose focus when they don't get their chance, others excel when they do. I don't believe it's as simple as data analytics as footballers are human beings.

He wasn't a starter against Citeh, so it will be a case of him being on the bench again. Also, if Lerma is fit, Lerma should play. It, then becomes a question of who plays alongside him.

A red card waiting to happen against Brighton. The occasion, the rivalry, etc... it is different to the city game.

Comming off the bench will be fine. I am sure we will have an injury in the game before the 60 min anyway.
He will definitely get some minutes over the Christmas period and a definite starter against everyone.

He has also made more of an impact than rak saki I noticed who needs to bulk up a bit.

Jeez, the number of posters who simply make stuff up and post it on here as if it is fact is mind boggling. I’m not even going to mention which ones in particular because they are so much rubbish I don’t even know where to start.

These sort of deep stats are the product of technology. But this sort of thing has been going on for years . Even back in the seventies, in the old first division, people obviously studied individual players across the board closely but the whole thing was primitive compared to this stuff. you could guarantee that if you didn’t improve very quickly enough to make people think again, you were going to struggle, because absolutely every team had worked you out.
