MOTM for me by a mile was the referee, a great performance for Liverpool shame they can't pick him every week.

Just to add some perspective (and I know that good performances don't always get the points they deserve) but the joint player of the match was their goalkeeper with a ranking of 7.44.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

Ayew was removed from the action after a receiving a second yellow card.To my mind, the Ayew challenge was a foul and he only got a Yellow as it was deemed to stop a counter-attack.

The first yellow VVD just kick it at Ayew who was about 3 yards away, not looking to play a quick pass, just looking for a booking and the ref bought it, why when we got a free-kick didn't we just kick it at someone close, he had set the standard

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

In the opinion of the referee, Ayew prevented Virgil Van Dijk from taking a quick free-kick, having not been positioned the required distance away from the ball.

Watching the incidents on MoTD, I'm not convinced the ref got things so wrong.

In fact, maybe we were fortunate to get the penalty.

Proud of the team today with yet another loss and zero points,as we continue our downward slide towards an inevitable relegation struggle.
Tough games ahead and a likely return of zero points against City,Chelsea and Brighton being quite realistic.
