I dont understand what the point of not playing Ahamada is. It's not shielding him from playing poorly it's just shielding him from gaining the experience to play at this level. You've got 2 young players that need experience and he's just sitting them on a bench when we are thread bare. I hope it's some master stroke by Roy but I can't see it.

Don't expect Franca or Ahamada to start anytime soon.

West Ham almost at full strength. We're far from it. I still don't understand why with all the injuries Ahamada isn't getting a start given he is the one midfielder in our squad with real pace. Glad Richards is getting a start though as I think he has always looked athletic and committed when he's got his chance, plus it's extra height to deal with Soucek, etc. Hopefully Hughes is playing higher up the pitch this week as he's been a fault for a few goals recently when playing a deeper role.

On paper West Ham should be winning this, but you never know. Our one hope is Olise's ability to produce something from nothing.

Yet to be impressed with Ahamada in his cameo appearances, we need an experienced 11 and that 11 today is about all we have other than defenders. If I’m critical of any of todays 11 starting I might have gone with Reidewald alongside Hughes and Lerma in midfield? Let’s hope for some midfield signings even if it’s loans this coming window as we look weak as hell in that area :-(

Ahamda hasn't exactly been given a decent chance to impress has he? Coming on in games we are losing with 20 or so mins. If you are giving young players a bit part in games we aren't winning, I can't actually see how that inspires them nor gives them time to settle into a game.
