A typical Palace target. Probably cheap (as striker prices go) and his goal every 2 games in lesser leagues would suddenly become 1 in 4 in the PL with us. Another Edouard or Mateta? The article says he has 7 in 16 games this season of which 3 came in the 2 games against Liverpool leaving 4 in the other 14 - not impressive stats for a striker playing in Ligue 1 IMO.

He might turn out to be a 6 goal a year merchant but he looked sharp in the Liverpool game. He's quite tall as well.

Interestingly there are rumours beginning to circulate that Toulouse (obviously as a replacement for Dallinga leaving) are looking at a player I've been keeping tabs on in the Serbian league and wanted to suggest we look at, Matheus Saldanha. 24 years old scoring for fun at Partizan FK, currently sitting on 10 goals and 4 assists in 14 games. I say, if we're wanting to take a punt, cut out Dallinga and Toulouse and go straight for this younger, and cheaper, option.

I always thought he had a bit of a suspect bowling action.
