Seen a few articles with the link recently. Can't admit to knowing much of him and whilst always sceptical of both the strength in the link to any player and the commentary on their ability, this one does sound as thought it's worth keeping an eye on. Grateful for any better insight fellow HOlers can provide.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I note the article makes a mention of Eze. Before we signed Eze he had made over 130 appearances for his clubs.

We've had good recent success picking off the Championships brightest talent. Keep going Dougie

I think he made his debut at Selhurst a couple of years back - looked fairly lively that day but has clearly kicked on a level since - has been scoring for fun so far this season. Concern would be it's a very small sample size in terms of how many games he's played. He's just been called up to the England U21s which will be a good test for him. Certainly one to keep an eye on - would be hesitant to throw any serious money at it after a third of a season of professional football.

I guess it all about finding the sweet spot when the interest/price is not mental and we know as much as we are likely to.

Keep going Dougie the Derby pair, who have both struggled, would suggest that buying a youngster after 10 or so games is more risky than picking from the championship team of the year. Eze, Guehi and Olise all had more than 1 good season under their belts and were already well known. Rowe 'could' be great, but he's essentially had 10 games - similar to Plange when we signed him, who is currently on the bench at Carlisle.

And I'd suggest we neither have the scouting sophistication to identify, nor the the processes to get them to the first team to be picking up that early.
