I really don't get this Jairo thing.

A guy who was signed as a ball playing CB, has barely played in 6 seasons, and has looked off the pace when he has.

Now our best player gets injured and everyone wants him to replace him. Its not even close to being a sensible idea. Let along a good one.

If OE if fit we wither play 2 up top, or he plays left and Jeff comes into CM.

Have to agree.

I really want the guy to succeed and watched him closely on Saturday. On the ball he is very tidy, but off the ball he is slow and his general awareness and positional play is so weak.
Although bought as a left sided CB in a 352, he has almost exclusively played in midfield, where he also played in the Europa final v Man U.
Therefore, it is not unrealistic to expect him to be disciplined in his positional play and know when to go forward and when to hold. At times he seemed to be wandering around on Sat looking a bit lost.
This is his 7th season at the club and has played less than 100 games in all competitions. In only 1 season has he played in more than 50% of games - and then immediately his agent managed to get a new contract out of SP!
He looks too bulky, possibly a little overweight.

Some may say he is a decent squad player and is reasonably versatile, but essentially he has wasted his best years at Palace.
He is on good money, c£50k a week, so i'm guessing he knows he'll get a fraction of that back in Holland so will just see out his contract before heading home.

You have to remember Jairo hasn’t played regularly so it takes a while to get up to speed... Hughes has taken a while...he’s technically very good had a great few games at Left back a few years ago... I think Roy likes him so he will get opportunities....

We are very lacking in creative midfielders and maybe this is the time Jairo Riedwield has been waiting for!

I’m still waiting for Jairo to turn. I have seen milk turn quicker, He is like the QE2 trying to turn in a bath. Woeful player who should have been gone years ago.

For some reason clubs, not just ours, give more leeway to players with exotic names. Jairo Riedewald from Holland gets more chances than Johnny Reed from Hornchurch.
It's like a 3 litre Ferrari sounds better than a 4 pint Smith.
