BUT, they are the type of strikers that broadly wont get heavily involved in the game. We've seen with a couple of Ayew and Mitchel crosses the guys can find space and get on the end of things. Until we can upgrade, we know what we need to do. Generate some opportunities for them Not disagreeing but is their greater involvement as important as their goalscoring?

In their game against Brighton the first 2 goals were down to him hustling. Something neither of our strikers do. Especially the first goal.

He's still a bit of a plum for the time he celebrated a goal with a cardboard cutout of himself.

If Edouard became the player we hoped we were buying, we would have an incredible spine.

step one get a good ball in the box step two move to them crosses and finish simple , we haven't put good balls in for our strikers to show there worth , and wilf was just as guilty of that ,

Until we can upgrade, we know what we need to do. Generate some opportunities for them have to agree. Neither are great, but equally neither are rubbish. Bringing in another Prem ready striker that we could afford (e.g. Che Adams for £15m) would have been a like for like replacement IMHO. I think with these 2 and maybe Ayew moving central we have 3 decent striking options to use in a 433 formation. With the right service and also when playing with confidence both can score and lead the line okay (ish). Personally i am amazed not only did we not buy or loan a winger as OE is showing that he can get on the end of an early hit cross. ALso, the lack of depth in our squad in key positions is a massive concern.

The fact that he hasn’t(so far) was quite predictable though, obviously there’s a world of difference playing up front for Celtic and playing down south in the premier league. Let’s face it, a one legged 60 year old carrying some heavy shopping could score a few goals playing up front for Celtic in scotlands top flight
