Enough is enough. Parish no doubt has cemented his place in club history as the savior of the club and has been instrumental in the success over the past decade. The academy and the new stand plan will continue to move the club forward.
However, his finances are extremely limited. When minority owners, who have a ton of money are frustrated, that says something. Clearly, Dougie can find and develop talent. We just can’t keep the talent in the club. Imagine a club with Zaha, Gallagher, Eze, A1B, Olise, and Doucoure. That is not all that expensive. Nowhere close to the big six budgets but probably just as competitive. The fact is our day will NEVER come with our current ownership model.
It’s time for The Chairman to dilute his stake and relinquish control of the finances. If we had modest investment we could be a major player in the Prem.
Our combined net worth of ownership is 5.5 Billion. Harris, Blitzer and Textor could fund the last few pieces of a contending club. It can be done. The problem is none of these guys have a majority stake. If they did, our outcomes would be different.

2 of our shareholders want out of the club and the 3rd appears to have financial problems.

Parish has done a great job of keeping the club together and our finances are sound.

You can only say sack the board when there is a well funded white knight in the wings ready to take over and spend.

Until then as much as I am pissed off about this transfer window Parish is a safe pair of hands.

Look down the road at Charlton a well run PL club under Curbishley then it all went wrong and they were sold and re-sold to different shysters and ended up in league 1.

It's clear to me that we have very little transfer money so any purchases will have to be funded by sales. It's NOT clear to me that parish is blocking the major shareholders from spending.

There isn't a choice here because I don't see any alternative owner.

One more point

If every supporter what ever football club they support read and believed everything that the media wrote then most teams would start a season with half a team. The fact that Palace players are in demand proves that the club are on the right track. American investment in British football clubs are an appealing opportunity to make profit, that’s all they don’t understand the connection between club and supporter
If Steve Parish had no heart for the club and just sold players to make a profit then I think we would never be in a position we are in now as a premiership club. At this time start of the new season players agents are always looking to boost finances. As for the press don’t believe everything you read. I would be more worried if I was a Brighton supporter with the player exodus they have had.

TBF what I worry about with any reference to Southampton POG is that we follow their model in producing Bale, VVD, Shaw, Walcott, Mane, Tadic like players, don't replace them sufficiently and suffer the consequences. Our recent loss of our two wingers and no replacements indicates this is already happening before anyone else even leaves.

I am really shocked to see another 'SP out' thread during a poor transfer window however, never saw that coming I love the notion that he is all that is standing between Palace and Chelsea-esque transfer window spending twice a year, a 100k seater stadium and Champions League football.
