He looks rapid. You’d think Ayew and Schlupp can spot a good player at this stage of their career and they will all have been playing together for the national team. I’d say for 8.5m it’s worth a gamble.

He looks a bit like a right sided Zaha but a better finisher.

I hope he's fast because he's going to have to run from the airport straight onto the pitch.

Not sure about this one, a bit selfish in the youtube clips i saw, only 2 assists in his career.

I see that we are in competition with a Spanish second division club for this chap. He must really be exciting

HITC says (not sure they do their own reporting) that we bid £7m and they want £13m.

I know jack s*** about him.

I wonder what a 19 year old Zaha or Bolasie (as they were at that age) would cost in this market and whether either would feature much for the first team?

I hear what you are saying but our prime need is for first team players that can slot straight into the team and not ones for the future

Hard to argue. But that doesn't preclude this being a good signing either.

This window is so frustrating when it feels like we have built a decent recent record of player identification but seem to have shied away from using our new found prowess at the worst possible time.

Like "all" we have to do is get more active. But I accept in reality it's not that easy and part of our success may be knowing when to leave the table.

That depends on how much cash we have available for transfers. We spent a goodly sum on Ahamada whom Roy deems not ready for the first team and nearly three times as much for a Brazilian teenager who may or may not be good in the long run but isn't first team ready at the moment.

We need to replace Zaha and Olise with players that will slot straight in to the first team now

Also fair. My feeling is we have budget but a reluctance to spend it without extreme conviction.

I believe Roy does rate him. The question is which out of Eze, Doucoure and Lerma does he replace? I expect him to be played off the bench regularly this season and that he will start should one of the 3 above get injured or banned.
