Although he didn’t score many for Burnley I remember him being a handful against us at Selhurst and was very unlucky to have a good goal chalked off for offside. I wouldn’t mind him even if an option off the bench as a target man when we are chasing a game.

The beauty of Wilf was he could play anywhere across the frontline so losing him creates quite a big hole. Roy is clearly not convinced by either OE and JPM (is anyone?) and did play Ayew in the No 9 role a couple of times last season. I think we need an additional striker and clearly have a very limited budget. Weghorst could be a cost effective short term loan solution. For comparison Fulham have just spent £5m on a 32 year old.

Luke Plange IS in the US, but, with the U21's with their tournament.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

No doubt, Plange and Ebiowei will go out on loan if anyone wants them that is. Equally, despite his excellent free kicks, it increasingly appears Banks hasn't that much else in his locker that will enable him to make the jump to the PL.

Back to WW, he played the 1st half of Burnleys game v Benfica & no, he didn't score, funnily enough it was the 2 full back that did, for a 2-0 win.

My local club Stockport has been strongly linked with him after his decent loan at Bradford last season.

This sounds like desperation coz w3 haven't signed someone. Do we really need another ineffective striker?
