Hang on

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

The answers are in the story itself. Even the Mail couldn't avoid them:-

"But while immigrants face jail for making false asylum claims, solicitors who encourage, facilitate and profit from them merely face professional sanctions.

One law firm sacked the representative the Mail spoke to and closed one of its offices after we revealed our findings. It said his actions breached the law and broke the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s code of conduct."

Any lawyer doing this risks being debarred. Stupid, greedy and bad people exist in every walk of life so, of course, there will be exceptions but as a general principle, a lawyer won't lie when under oath or issuing public statements and didn't even do so in this case. They encouraged a client to lie, which was enough for them to lose their job. Quite rightly too.

It's called getting caught. I wonder if others might do this by any chance?

These scumbag lawyers are only guilty of taking advantage of a failed system.

This is why the ONLY solution is a complete replacement of it all. There can be no fixing this now. Too far gone.

Bad apples exist in every bucket.

It’s not the exceptions under review. They need to be found and dealt with as in every walk of life. It’s the slurs against the profession as a whole which have been made and are unjustified.
